Safety and quality are top priorities at the biogas plant: we train our employees regularly to ensure safety for people and the environment.

Our service technicians are certified as ‘specialists for safe maintenance’ in accordance with TRGS 529 and TRAS 120. They therefore meet all requirements for working with hazardous substances. As a WHG-certified company, we are your reliable partner for safe plant operation – tested, documented and traceable.

According to TRGS 529, operators of biogas plants must ensure that service providers selected for work involving hazardous substances have proven expertise. This is because only qualified personnel are permitted to carry out safety-related work, such as:

• Maintenance work on air-supported covers
• Work on gas installations and gas pipes
• Repair work on submersible motor agitators
• Work involving contact with substrate

As an operator, you must request proof of qualification for this work. Our team meets all requirements, for example through participation in regular, certified training courses, risk assessments and operating and work instructions.

TRAS 120 specifies the state of the art for biogas plants, particularly with regard to:

• Safety culture in operational organisation
• Requirements for remote control of plants
• Expertise of persons responsible for operation

Important to know: TRAS 120 is not legally binding, but is used as a benchmark by authorities.

Our biogas laboratory regularly participates in nationwide interlaboratory tests to ensure the quality and comparability of our measurement results. The uniform analysis of identical samples allows us to objectively verify and continuously improve performance. In addition, we are actively involved in the further development of practical standards, for example in determining residual gas potential.
